West Union Trenching is a seasonal employer. Typically, the majority of our employees are laid-off from January 1st through April 1st...and we are looking to add more skilled individuals to our team!
We are looking for hard working, full-time operators and laborers who aren't afraid of getting dirty and working long hours during the summer months. CDL is not required to be hired, but is expected within the first 90 days of employment. Knowledge of construction equipment is desired, but we are willing to train the right candidate. West Union Trenching is a drug free environment, pre-employment drug screening and random testing is required.

Salary is based upon experience and knowledge.
ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) – You work and time investment in the company is returned by gaining stock ownership in the company which you can later cash out when you retire… your work earns you a piece of the pie!
401K – Qualifying employees can contribute to a pre-tax and/or post-tax 401k plan. Our local financial advisor, Amanda Schneider, is in West Union and has flexible hours to work around your schedule.
Health Insurance – Health insurance is offered to qualifying employees. Employees who elect coverage through our Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan are offered a savings towards their monthly premium.
Dental Insurance – Dental insurance is offered to qualifying employees. This benefit is solely paid for by the employer.
Life Insurance – Cincinnati Life Insurance is offered to all employees. West Union Trenching holds a separate life insurance policy on each employee.
Short Term/Long Term Disability – Short-term and long-term disability coverage is available through AFLAC to qualifying employees.
H.S.A. – The option of contributing money to an existing or new H.S.A. (Health Savings Account) is available at any time.
PTO – Paid time off is offered to all employees.
Bereavement – Employees are offered paid time off for the death of family members.
Maternity/Paternity – Paid time off is offered to employees for the birth of a child or other similar qualifying events.

5-Day Work Week – No one call, no weekends.
Local Work – 90% of our work is within 1 hour of home.
On the Road Pay – Employees are paid $35.00 per night they are on the road. Lodging is also paid for while traveling.
Paid Drive Time – Paid from the time you arrive at the shop until you return to the shop.
